Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Company, one of downtown Des Moines’ premier eateries, has added Premium Duroc Pork and Premium Hereford Beef from Vande Rose Farms to it menu.
Vande Rose Farms products are available in upscale restaurants in the mid-Atlantic states and on the West Coast, but this is the first time the beef and pork from Mahaska County has been available in the Hawkeye State.
“We know that Iowa produces the best pork and the best beef in the country, and Hereford cattle and Duroc hogs are the best breeds, so we’re proud to partner with an organization based right here in our state who understands that so well,” says Scott Carlson, partner and general manager of Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Company. “We also appreciate going right to the source to learn about Duroc pork, Hereford beef and Vande Rose Farms’ sustainable and responsible farming practices. That understanding gives us the ability to do what we do best, build relationships and offer our patrons unique experiences.”
The restaurant’s new menu features Premium Hereford Beef flat iron steaks, filets, prime rib, top sirloins, burgers and prime rib sandwiches. Premium Duroc Pork entre’s include tenderloins and double-cut pork chops.
“As we grow to keep up with demand for our beef and pork products, we’re thrilled to be able to team up with Court Avenue Brewing,” says Steve DeBruin, CEO of Vande Rose Farms. “When we fly prospects and customers in from around the country and around the world to Des Moines, Court Avenue Brewing helps us give them a taste of beef and pork prepared correctly right here in our own back yard.”
